Description:
· Provide Hardware support of Eviden/Atos Sequana SH/Sequana S/Bullion S/EDGE and HPC server products in North America
· Customer facing role, interacting with customer and site teams
· Work with Hardware delivery team as needed to provide support to new installation/projects
Core Responsibilities:
• Serve in a customer facing role as member of the North America Hardware Support Team
• Strong customer interaction with regular contact with Atos internal and customer data center staff and support teams.
• Ability to do physical installation and repair of server hardware and components.
• Involvement in projects involving Eviden products at internal and customer locations
• Participate in review calls with Eviden-BDS mgmt..
• Main POC for BDS support team (TAC) at the Phoenix, AZ office location
• Work with Mgmt to handle spare parts tracking and logistics and Return Materials Authorizations (RMAs) for parts stored at the Phoenix office and remote supply depots
• Work with Eviden BDS L2/L3/R&D teams as needed for escalation of issues
Minimum Qualifications:
· B.S. Degree in Computer Engineering/IT/MIS or related field, or comparable work experience
· Demonstrated background in server hardware support/installation/break fix/repair required
· Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must; will interface directly with customer management and technology teams.
· Ability to take direction from remote managers
· Strong problem solving skills
· Ability to lead improvement activities, as needed, to benefit customers
· Handle day to day functions of managing spare parts stockpile at the Phoenix office
· Excellent team approach to tasks involving internal and external/customer resources
· Experience with server hardware of various types, mainly Eviden Systems and SuperMicro and Gigabyte Blades
· Experience working within ITIL Framework
· Thorough knowledge of server concepts including hardware, Operating Systems, and tools
· Ability to troubleshoot issues with peripherals such as SAN or NAS devices
· Working Knowledge in directly managing Linux Operating Systems
· Working knowledge at admin level managing VMWare ESXi
· Working knowledge of data replication/backup & recovery/disaster recovery concepts
· Willingness to travel to accommodate training opportunities
· Willingness to be available as an on-call resource, which may include on-site smart hands activity
· Minimum 5 years experience directly supporting server hardware/software platform
