General Summary The Compliance Analyst is focused on professionally representing Plain Green via interpersonal communication, phone, email, and fax. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for roles in the compliance department from beginning to end state. Using their knowledge of products or services as well as customer service skills, this individual will address issues, provide support, and offer information, as needed, to mitigate regulatory, operational, legal, compliance, and reputational risk as well as retain business records while keeping internal departmental SLA’s and KPI’s on track. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for helping to create and maintain a functional cohesive world class team environment to work in conjunction with all other Plain Green business units productively and decisively to promote a culture of compliance. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Keep Compliance Manager fully informed on all incoming/pending Escalated Compliance and customer issues. • Communicate up to date progress on all prospective and current tasks at hand. • Perform Due Diligence Verification steps including, but not limited to, identity, phone, address, and income in accordance with published policy, and review information for specific suspicious characteristics utilizing public and nonpublic information. • Make recommendations to improve verification efficiency and accuracy department/company wide. • Effectively utilize technology for all day-to-day activities (phone system, account management systems, email system, etc.). • Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information. • Process escalated concerns, gather information, utilize compliance resources and templates to formulate response back. • Timely escalated unresolved/ high risk/ reoccurring compliance matters. • Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems. • Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information, completing tasks. • Maintains oversite of Complaint database by entering information and making sure internal SLA’s are met per policy. • Updates job knowledge by participating in ongoing educational opportunities as needed. • Enhances organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. • Continuous daily monitoring of all high-risk incoming complaints. • Administrative duties include opening and distributing mail, copying, filing, and faxing documents. • Using company computer systems to enter data into various systems, databases, and spreadsheets. • Ensuring security and confidentiality of data. • Documenting procedures and process flows. • Conducting internal and external business correspondence activities. • Contributing to the enhancement of the overall risk and compliance profile of the company. • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by reading assigned rules and regulations. • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related duties, and all other duties which may be assigned. • Showing up for work duties daily, on time, and with a professional attitude and appearance. • Clocking in and out as required by company policy. • Demonstrating a spirit of helpfulness by working as a cooperative member of an overall team. • Completing assignments correctly and on time. Working Conditions/Physical Demands Frequent keyboarding required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. May spend up to 8 hours per day sitting and may have occasional movement throughout the facility. Occasional use of the telephone.
