The role
ATP is seeking a skilled and motivated Aircraft Non-Destructive Testing / Inspection (NDT / NDI) Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves conducting eddy current inspections of aircraft wing and wing attach structures using Olympus Nortec 500 / 600 Series eddy current flaw detectors. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of aircraft components by identifying potential flaws or defects.
Responsibilities
- Perform eddy current inspections on aircraft wing and wing attach structures, primarily utilizing Nortec 500 / 600 Series eddy current flaw detectors to SAE ARP4402 standards.
- Interpret and evaluate inspection results to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel, manufacturers, and regulatory agencies to address any identified defects or concerns.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols while working in various environments, including hangars and outdoor conditions.
- Maintain NDT / NDI training, qualification, and certification documentation.
- Travel to locations across the eastern US for on-site inspections, as required (up to 40% travel).
- Other duties as assigned.
