Overview

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Project Coordinator to lead and oversee high-revenue Aerospace fastener manufacturing projects. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of production—from raw material procurement through final packaging and delivery—ensuring operational excellence, quality compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, manufacturing process knowledge (particularly in aerospace or precision fasteners), and exceptional cross-functional leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management:

Oversee all aspects of specific large fastener manufacturing program, ensuring on-time, in-budget, and in-spec delivery to customers.

  • Manufacturing Oversight:

Coordinate with internal production teams and external subcontractors to manage the entire supply chain including raw material acquisition, machining, heat treating, plating, testing, inspection, and packaging.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership:

Lead collaboration among purchasing, operations, and quality assurance departments to drive schedule adherence and process improvements.

  • Customer Engagement:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communications, program updates, issue resolution, and relationship development.

  • Supply Chain Coordination:

Monitor and manage supplier performance and lead times. Proactively address bottlenecks and ensure alignment with production goals.

  • Scheduling and Forecasting:

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, capacity plans, and forecasts based on customer demand and sales projections.

  • Quality Assurance:

Ensure all parts and processes meet customer specifications and industry certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Drive resolution of any non-conformance or corrective actions.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of project milestones, vendor documentation, production metrics, and customer communication. Provide regular performance updates to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field; PMP certification is a plus.
  • 3 years of project or program management experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong understanding of fastener production processes, including CNC machining, cold heading, secondary processing, and finishing operations.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontracted manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High proficiency in project management tools (Excel, MS Project, or Smartsheet).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
