Job DescriptionJob Title : Dog GroomerJob Location : Sterling / Ashburn, VAClub-K9 is one of the largest dog care facilities in the DMV area withover 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor fun for your pet! We offera variety of services which include daycare, boarding, training,workouts, and grooming.

We were tired of daycares where our dogs wouldonly have basic play areas and boring walks. We wanted more than ourdogs just sitting in crates all day when boarded.

So, the idea to createa country club for your furry friends was born. We aren't just yourtypical canine facility. We have more play space, indoor alone, thankennel space, an abundance of activities for your dog to do, includingpack walks, trail paths, workouts, and more.

We are searching for a Dog Groomer who will take pride in providing ourcustomers and their pets with the best possible customer service andexperience when visiting our facility.

Our Dog Groomer will reportdirectly to the General Manager or Assistant Manager and will be a partof an energetic, dynamic, and fun team.

As a Dog Groomer, you will beresponsible for performing grooming tasks that enhance the appearanceand health of each dog, working closely with pet owners to understandtheir preferences, and maintaining a calm environment for all pets inyour care.

Key Responsibilities : - Perform all aspects of grooming, including bathing, brushing,drying, clipping, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and teethbrushing.

• Assess each dog’s coat, skin condition, and temperament to determineappropriate grooming techniques and products.- Consult with pet owners to understand specific grooming preferencesand styles.
• Ensure a safe and calming grooming environment to help reduce stressfor the pets.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming areas, tools, andequipment.
• Identify potential health issues, such as skin irritations,infections, or external parasites, and report them to pet owners.

Qualifications : - Proven experience as a dog groomer or completion of a groomingprogram.- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific groomingrequirements.

• Ability to handle and restrain dogs of various sizes andtemperaments in a gentle manner.- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicateeffectively with pet owners.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to recognize changesin pet health and behavior.- Basic understanding of animal behavior and stress managementtechniques.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and performrepetitive grooming tasks.Preferred Qualifications : - Certification from a recognized grooming institution (e.

g., NationalDog Groomers Association of America).- Experience working in a professional pet care or veterinaryenvironment.
