Job Description:
We are seeking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Continuity Analyst (BCA). The candidate will be reporting directly to the Associate Director, Business Continuity Program Administrator This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, data-savvy analyst to gain hands-on experience in Business Continuity Management The BCA will work closely with leadership, engage with stakeholders across the organization, and contribute to a critical risk management function.
Responsibilities:
Business Impact Analysis (BIA) & Business Continuity Planning (BCP):
Assist BCM leadership in conducting multiple Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) by engaging stakeholders, gathering data, and documenting findings in the Bank's system of record.
Analyze large datasets to identify critical business functions, dependencies, and recovery priorities.
Support the development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) based on BIA results.
Analytical & Reporting Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Excel models to assess business continuity risk and impact.
Compile, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and support decision-making.
Create reports and dashboards to present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
Translate complex data into digestible insights for senior management and stakeholders.
Crisis Preparedness & Readiness Exercises:
Support BCM leadership in facilitating Emergency Response Team (ERT) training.
Assist in organizing and executing Crisis Management tabletop exercises.
Coordinate and track micro-exercises (targeted readiness and preparedness exercises) to validate BCPs and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).
Document exercise outcomes, track action items, and support program improvements.
Resiliency Tools Administration:
Assist in the administration and maintenance of resiliency tools used for business continuity and disaster recovery.
Provide support and troubleshooting for business continuity platforms and reporting tools.
Requirement:
Skills/Knowledge:
Required/Must have:
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, SUMIF and COUNTIF, conditional formatting, charts, filters, formulas, etc.).
Experience working with large datasets and translating data into insights.
Strong PowerPoint skills with experience in building professional presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, document requirements, and synthesize information.
Preferred:
1-3 years of experience in business continuity, risk management, data analysis, or a related field.
Experience in business continuity planning or emergency preparedness is a plus.
Familiarity with business continuity frameworks (e.g FHFA, FFIEC, ISO 22301, NIST, BCI Good Practice Guidelines) is a plus.
Business continuity or disaster recovery certification is a plus (CBCP, CBCA, ABCP, CBCI, DRII, etc.).
Ability to deliver clear, concise training programs to a wide range of Bank personnel in large and small group formats.
Ability to interact with vendors, service providers and internal clients.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, business continuity planning, and compliance within large organizations Candidates with prior experience at firms such as EY, Deloitte, or similar professional services firms are highly preferred
