We are looking for a Localization QA IV for a very important client.
Description
This role requires your assistance in localization efforts, coordinating localization QA, working with vendor testers locally and internationally, and interacting with multiple team members in our internal team The candidate will be creating QA plans, supporting QA efforts in the localization lab, fixing bugs, and ultimately helping to deliver high quality localized products on time in up to 40 languages simultaneously The candidate needs the skills to quickly recognize and raise issues and communicate status effectively to their management.
Duties:
As iCloud Localization QA lead on our team, you bring outstanding linguistic and technical skills to ensure that users around the globe are getting an equally enjoyable experience in any UI language we support besides English You will help us localize top priority projects and lead the QA of our features with the support of additional vendors You will closely collaborate with vendors, Localization Project Managers (LPMs), lab operations staff, and language leads across the company to ensure a consistent language experience from software, to marketing, and support The environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to work autonomously while handling aggressive delivery schedules The right mix of problem solving skills and passion to improve existing processes and tools will help you see the big picture beyond your specific language needs.
Create and manage glossaries, style guides, and other linguistic and cultural assets As our language POC, you will provide feedback to a wide variety of teams to establish localization quality requirements and connect with the Lab Operations team and LPMs when those requirements are not met Qualify a variety of products and services through both manual and automated UI testing With the added support of internal and external vendors, ensure the best quality output for Apple's customers across all deliverables for your specific language Collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to identify the best localization strategies around new and current brands Drive linguistic bugs resolution and communicate localizability, functional, and layout issues promptly to the project LPMs Beyond reporting on issues found, provide pertinent information and follow solutions to their conclusion Provide feedback and recommendations on product and UX design, and flag potential cultural sensitivity issues Look for opportunities to optimize workflow, tools, and processes to help the team scale.Implement and foster globalization/internationalization/ localization best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Key Qualifications
Solid understanding of Localization Workflows, Software Development, and Software QA.
Experience working with content management databases and localization tools.
Proven record of localization project management, testing and bug tracking
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a global team environment
Excellent written and verbal cross-functional communication skills and experience
Experience with planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects within very tight timeframes
High level of focus and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables and call out blockers, as soon as they arise, to the multi-functional partners.
Ability to be flexible, highly organized, and respond quickly and enthusiastically to often rapidly changing direction.
Ability to be inventive, able to handle complex situations and deadlines, have very good analytical skills, and strong aim to learn and succeed.
Preferred Skills
Competence working on the iOS, macOS, and more platforms, and familiarity with Apple products and services is desired.
Experience with scripting in Python and JavaScript is desired.
Native-level fluency in one or more languages besides English desired
