ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Collaborate with VP level department leaders to provide strategic guidance for talent processes and execute upon associated activities to support the business
- Leverage deep understanding of the business strategy and plan to lead projects with a focus on people, change management, organizational design, and team strategy
- Provide support and strategic coaching to leaders on HR-related solutions, programs, and policies
- Drive initiatives to help foster a positive company culture, focusing on diversity, engagement, and retention
- Gather and/or analyze feedback from assigned departments (including utilizing data from our annual engagement survey), and partner with HR and leadership in identifying, developing, and implementing solutions for closing gaps or addressing needs
- Lead assigned departments through the talent management/development cycle (goals, development, performance reviews)
- Partner with centers of expertise, including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning and Development, and Total Rewards, for optimal client support.
- With support from the Learning and Development function and team leadership, identify and recommend training as needed, focusing on developing future leaders
- Lead HR continuous improvement projects for the function that meet organizational need
- Demonstrate leadership within the HRBP team, may coach and mentor other team members
- Counsel managers on company practice and process and coach them through performance management
- Partner with managers to support smooth and high-impact onboarding for new hires
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests from employees
- Travel as needed to support team meetings, team development, and talent strategy
- Serve as backup for other teams as needed
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
- Work both strategically and hands-on to deliver results for the department

- Bachelor's degree and eight years of Human Resources experience, primarily as an HR Business Partner, or demonstrated combination of education, training and experience
- Demonstrated support of a distributed workforce
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and organize and prioritize work
- Ability to travel 5%
- Experience working with a Sales team as an HRBP professional
- Extensive knowledge of employment laws and best practices
- Overall familiarity with benefits, performance management, and compliance
- Demonstrated capability in managing employee relations, as well as promoting and maintaining positive employee relations
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
- Experience working in medical device or pharmaceutical industries
- Ability to regularly walk, sit, stand, bend, push, or pull as needed
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
What we offer:
- Competitive Salary plus yearly bonus
- For Minnesota based candidates, the base pay for this position is $118,000 - $150,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors, qualifications, education, prior experience, etc.
