Summary: Responsible for performing facilities related tasks to maintain building, building systems, and grounds. Provide in-house calibration service to all departments to ensure reduction in downtime and high equipment efficiency.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with building and grounds.• Provide timely and accurate calibrations of all equipment associated with the calibration schedule.• Maintain and document results of calibrations in calibration database.• Maintain building and grounds systems, including normal repair and landscaping management.• Document any facilities service requests in a timely manner.• Execute facilities service requests in a timely manner.• Perform emergency and/or detailed custodial duties.• Maintain adequate distribution of custodial supplies.• Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee and correct safety related matters around facility.• Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Facilities & Metrology Manager.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.• Minimum of three years maintenance/electronics experience.• High technical background and ability to understand electronic operations.• OSHA training preferred.• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.• Strong customer service orientation along with solid analytical and problem solving skills.• Good verbal and written skills.• Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to work within a flexible work schedule to provide support as required.• Ability to work independently and take initiative to continuously seek improvements to facilities, calibration, and safety program.• Must have knowledge in the use of all shop and measuring equipment and power tools.• Knowledge of building systems, i.e. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air preferred.
