General Summary:
As the accountant you will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about various accounting activities. This will directly be under the direction of other senior accountants. This position is located 5 days a week in our Columbus, Ohio corporate office.
Accounting Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly financial statements for the various Atrium Centers
Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
Updating financial records via accounting software
Maintaining accounts payable, ensure the timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures
Analyzing financial statements and prepare balance sheets
Preparing quarterly budget under the purview of senior management
Education and Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
1-2 years within corporate accounting setting
Required Skills:
Previous experience in an accounting or financial role; preferred
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and accounting software
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to be a team player
