Surgical Technologist Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health Navicent. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing the sterile field, instrumentation, and equipment for surgical procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare designated equipment and supplies used in cases.
- Flexibly accommodate changing assignments, workload, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
You will also prepare surgical instrumentation for sterilization, pull together needed materials for procedures, and anticipate the needs of the surgeon, assist the nurse, and the anesthesia provider as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of surgical tech program, either technical or military school required.
- No experience is necessary, but one year of experience is preferred.
- Must attain certification within 12 months to remain in position.
