We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our infectious diseases department in Wilkes, North Carolina. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations in medical/surgical settings, delivering comprehensive outpatient and inpatient consultative care services.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the medical team when needed for effective team-based care.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, explaining the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects to patients.
- Procedural Skills: Perform procedures according to department or practice guidelines.
- Education and Research: Participate in basic science and clinical research projects, as well as precept students and medical learners.
Requirements
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, Master's degree or higher required.
- Licensure: Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license.
- Certification: Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in infectious diseases preferred.
