Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Merchandising Manager to oversee the development and execution of our client's merchandising strategy. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that our product assortments align with brand vision, customer preferences, and market trends. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in retail merchandising, a keen eye for fashion, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities of the Merchandising Manager :
- Develop and execute product assortments, ensuring they align with the brand's vision, sales goals, and market trends.
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and industry trends to optimize product offerings, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with design, production, and marketing teams to ensure timely product launches and effective go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of seasonal and weekly merchandising plans, ensuring products are allocated to the right stores and channels.
- Work closely with the visual merchandising team to ensure cohesive store displays and in-store experiences that reflect the brand identity.
- Lead the buying process, from initial product selection through to final purchase orders, including negotiating with vendors and managing relationships.
- Monitor product performance, track KPIs, and adjust assortments based on market feedback and sales analysis.
- Collaborate with eCommerce and retail teams to develop cohesive online and in-store merchandising strategies.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess stock and markdowns.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for the brand.
