As the company continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to help support their payroll functions and ensure seamless operations.Salary / Hourly Rate : $25-$35 per hourPosition Overview : Our client, a leading company based in Bronx NY, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their growing team on a full-time, onsite basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in payroll processing, who is ready to assist with end-to-end payroll functions. The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across multiple departments. This position requires hands-on involvement in all payroll-related tasks, with an emphasis on compliance and efficiency.Responsibilities Of The Payroll Specialist : Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Verify timesheets, hours worked, and employee deductions to ensure payroll compliance.Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information.Ensure proper tax calculations and deductions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.Process benefits, garnishments, and other deductions accurately.Assist with the preparation and filing of payroll tax reports, including W-2 and 1099 forms.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and pay discrepancies.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies regarding employee payroll information.Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to resolve payroll issues and improve payroll processes.Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.Assist with payroll audits and month-end / year-end procedures.Provide payroll-related reports to management as requested.Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist : Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.In-depth knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and labor laws.Proficient in payroll software and systems (experience with ADP or similar systems is a plus).Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and management.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.Ability to adapt to changing payroll processes and new technology.Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus but not required.Benefits : Atrium Care Package available, upon eligibility (including healthcare plans, discount programs, and paid time off).As a woman-owned firm, we value diversity.
