An ATS Field Service Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment at the customer’s facility. Professionally represent ATS while interfacing with our valued customers. Meet or exceed customer’s quality and service expectations.
Troubleshooting & repairing mechanical and electrical equipment:
- Interpret/read schematics and mechanical drawings, manufacturer guidelines, reference manuals and assembly systems instruction guides
- Wire electrical components on machinery
- Resolve service requirements over the phone if possible
- Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues at customer sites
- Have machine builder/tool maker experience working with automation or manufacturing equipment
- Onsite field service experience working on capital/manufacturing equipment
Customer Service:
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Meet or exceed customer expectations in an efficient manner
- Make follow-up calls with the customer to verify problem(s) have been resolved
- Follow customer’s plant and safety regulations while at their facility
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Electrician license or certification a plus
- Three (3) to six (6) years of experience in a hands-on mechanical/electrical environment
- Must be familiar with & able to use hand tools, voltage/pressure meters, measuring gauges and devices
- Must possess a valid passport (or be able to obtain one)
- Domestic and international travel up to 75%
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
