Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Program Finance to lead financial strategy, forecasting, and business management within our Broadband Communications Systems (BCS) sector. This senior-level role requires deep expertise in financial planning and analysis, program financial oversight, and team leadership. You’ll act as a strategic advisor to senior management and play a critical role in identifying profit-generating opportunities and improving working capital.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead all FP&A activities, ensuring accurate and timely communication with Corporate Segment (CS) Finance.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to assess program EACs and identify risks/opportunities.
- Drive working capital initiatives across operations and programs to meet AOP and strategic plan goals.
- Champion finance transformation projects; identify and implement process/systems improvements.
- Review and approve cost proposals and quotes across business units.
- Lead month-end close efforts and ensure accurate financial reporting with Controller’s team.
- Manage and mentor Finance staff; support career development and performance.
- Evaluate proposal pricing for compliance and alignment with financial strategies and contractual terms.
- Prepare IFR opportunities for business growth and forecasting.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree 15 years of relevant experience
(OR) Graduate Degree 13 years experience
(OR) 19 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years in Indirect Cost and Rate Management
- 5 years in Finance leadership roles
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Strong command of GAAP, SEC regulations, and Government Finance (FAR, DFARS)
- Extensive experience with contract types: Fixed Price, Cost Plus, T&M, Fixed Unit Rate
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and business acumen skills
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with non-finance stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing, collaborative finance teams
