Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting clinical operations by performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in using laboratory information management systems. The Medical Laboratory Technician will contribute to patient care through accurate testing and analysis, ensuring high-quality results in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform various laboratory tests, including assays and immunoassays, to support clinical trials and patient diagnostics.
• Collect blood samples and other specimens following established protocols to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
• Document test results accurately in the laboratory information management system for efficient tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights for patient care decisions.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to all regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Stay updated on advancements in laboratory techniques and participate in ongoing professional development.

Experience

• A degree or certification in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field is required.
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with blood sampling techniques, clinical trials, and various laboratory assays is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately perform tests and understand their implications on patient health.
• Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems to manage data efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $36.75 - $65.49 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

• Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CNA (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
• Medical Technologist (Required)
