Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs throughout the surgical process.
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Conduct post-operative assessments and assist with discharge planning.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of care.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and monitoring patient responses.
- Experience in trauma medicine and emergency room (ER) settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and catheterization procedures.
- Knowledge of dementia care principles for managing patients with cognitive impairments.
- Strong organizational skills for effective discharge planning.
- Willingness to engage in travel nursing opportunities as needed.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to nursing documentation.

Pay: $59.08 - $75.12 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
