The Sterile Processing Technician plays a critical role in healthcare settings by ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. Duties

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
• Inspect instruments for functionality and cleanliness before they are returned to service.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ensure proper functioning through routine checks.
• Follow aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during processing.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to understand their needs for instrument preparation.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control policies at all times.
