Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assess non-urgent maintenance requests to develop job scopes and inspect job sites to outline specific requirements.
- Estimate labor, materials, and time needed for safe and efficient job completion.
- Collect necessary documentation like drawings and specifications, ensuring parts availability and arranging tools.
- Organize a backlog of work orders to prioritize planned jobs, maintaining a Ready Backlog above 80%.
- Use a continuous improvement approach to enhance job plans.
- Lead weekly meetings with Production to set work order priorities and adjust plans as needed.
- Develop a weekly schedule for technicians, optimizing labor readiness for planned tasks.
- Enhance planning and scheduling via maintenance metrics reviews.
- Maintain crucial records for maintenance analysis and reporting.
- Train employees on CMMS, ensuring proper functioning and usage.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical field, 1-3 years in maintenance planning/scheduling, or equivalent skills from technician roles.
- Experience in industrial settings with mechanical/electrical proficiency.
- Strong computer and software skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Preferred Capabilities:
- Leadership development interest and experience in project management preferred.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Green Belt certifications are advantageous.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Role involves physical activity such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting over 50 pounds, often in loud, factory settings with exposure to hazardous materials.
