About This Internship
The Human Resources Intern at ABX Air Inc. will gain hands-on experience in core HR functions, including policy development, job description standardization, and recruitment practices. ABX Air, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), specializes in air cargo transportation and aircraft operations, supporting a diverse workforce across multiple operational areas. This internship provides an opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Labor Relations, or Training & Development to develop critical skills in HR operations, compliance, and talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in formatting and updating company policies to ensure compliance and clarity.
· Support the standardization of ABX job descriptions across various departments.
· Work closely with the ABX recruiting team to gain hands-on experience in candidate screening, orientation, and onboarding.
· Communicate effectively with all levels of the workforce, including potential job candidates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Currently pursuing a degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, or Training & Development.
· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
· Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to learn HR management systems.
· Effective communication skills for interacting with employees and external candidates.
Preferred Skills & Experience
· Prior experience or coursework in recruiting, policy development, or HR compliance.
· Familiarity with HR software and file management systems.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
