About This Internship
The Internal Audit Intern at Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG) will gain practical experience in corporate governance, risk assessment, and compliance. ATSG is a leading provider of air cargo transportation and related services, with a strong commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in accounting or finance to develop key skills in internal audit processes, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and corporate risk assessment while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Internal Audit Department with planning and executing audits, including SOX and non-SOX reviews
- Support documentation and testing of processes and controls
- Assist in drafting and vetting audit findings and related action plans
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive corporate information
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and critical thinking abilities
- Commitment to integrity and confidentiality in handling corporate records
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate-level accounting program at an accredited college or university
- Completion of at least one year of college coursework
- Familiarity with audit procedures, compliance standards, or SOX controls is a plus
