Sunbright home health and hospice care is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger, general journal entries, accounts receivable, and high-volume accounts payable
- Management and oversight of the billing and accounting systems
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions on a daily basis
- Perform all data entry of client costs in billing in accounting program
- Perform all data entry of disbursements for client trust accounts
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare desktop bank deposits for operating and trust accounts
- Knowledge and capability of handling settlement disbursements to clients, attorneys, and vendors
- Maintain clients’ records and enter new client data in billing system
- Candidate must have experience working in a law firm
- Process payroll; interface with ADP
- Track/manage use of credit cards to pay law firm expenses
- Prepare weekly/monthly/yearly financial reporting
- Bank reconciliations
Pluses:
- Strong knowledge of excel
- Familiarity with Prolaw
- Familiarity with ADP
- Familiarity with SQL
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years previous bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Accurate and timely data entry and 10 key skills.
- Experience and proficient knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have a detailed understanding of accounting.
- Ability to work in a time sensitive, deadline-driven environment.
- Handle shifting priorities with agility.
- Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented and focused
