Job Title: Communications Specialist

AttainX, Inc. is in search of an experienced Communications Specialist to provide expert leadership and guidance to our federal government clients. The Communications Specialist will provide hands-on support in the development of communication materials, stakeholder engagement efforts, and internal knowledge management initiatives. This role is essential in ensuring that the USCIS DSSS 3 contract maintains clear and effective messaging aligned with Data Strategy goals. This role requires a B.A. or B.S. degree and at least 3 years of experience in communications, technical writing, or public relations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in communications, technical writing, or stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with content management systems, digital marketing, or knowledge management tools (preferred).
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, team-oriented environment.
- Initiative-taker, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a USCIS security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably have USICS background and client experience.
- Knowledge of federal data policies, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, OMB M-19-18, Federal Data Strategy).
Duties:
- Assist in the development of communication materials, including reports, newsletters, social media content, and executive summaries.
- Support the execution of internal and external engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with USCIS strategic goals.
- Conduct quality control reviews of communication products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to plain language standards.
- Assist in event coordination, including organization, speaker coordination, and presentation preparation.
- Maintain and update content on USCIS SharePoint sites, ensuring usability and accessibility.
- Monitor and track the effectiveness of communication campaigns, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Support the development of infographics, data visualizations, and other visual communication tools to convey complex information.
- Provide administrative support for communication-related activities, including scheduling, tracking deliverables, and coordinating with stakeholders.
