Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Support
Location: Work shall be conducted primarily at the Hanford Field Office (HFO) for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at the Hanford Site in Richland, WA. This position may allow limited telework at the discretion of the DOE Technical Monitor (TM) in consultation with the DOE Contracting Officer (CO). If this position is identified as telework eligible, there will be a 30-day waiting period in which 100% in-office support will be expected. In in-person support is identified as required for any reason and for any length of time by the TM or CO, the contractor shall report for duty in person as required.

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 salary for full-time employment; compensation determined on candidate years of relevant professional work experience, educational background and/or certifications and skill set.

AttainX is looking for an experienced software quality assurance (QA) subject matter expert (SME) to join our team in Richland, WA, working for DOE's Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ) to provide QA expertise in the area of safety and non-safety software quality assurance. This position will ensure software engineering processes and methods meet established safety software QA requirements of DOE O 414.1D and NQA-1.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
- Substantial experience (10 years) in the following areas: nuclear safety, engineering, software engineering, software quality best practices, software quality program development and implementation, assisting others to develop solutions to identify QA problems using proven approaches and industry standards and application of NQA-1 and other QA industry standards, particularly SQA.
- Experience in evaluations and assessments, management reviews, appraisal techniques and QA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with the Hanford Site mission, contract structures and general practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with the HFO QA Technical Lead to assure oversight is appropriately planned and executed.
- Work with HFO's procedures for all oversight activities.
- Obtain required HFO training.
- Attend prime contractors' SQA meetings and advise the QA Technical Lead.
- Assist with evaluation of contractor corrective actions.
- Assist with evaluation of corrective action closure.
- Document reviews of prime contractors' SQA programs.
- Survey prime contractors' SQA programs.
- Develop draft reviews, evaluations, surveillances of prime contractors.
- Document reviews and assessments of HFO suppliers' SQA programs.
