Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Help clients navigate their home environment safely, ensuring a clean and organized living space.
- Document and report any changes in client behavior or health to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
- Uphold resident rights and maintain confidentiality while providing care.
- Offer specialized support for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in caregiving roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of home community care practices and senior care principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with social work concepts and resident rights is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in caregiving or related fields is an advantage but not required.
