Job Purpose: The Hospitality Associate serves as a universal support person, acting in a variety of roles such in a dining serving position, light housekeeping, and life enrichment.
Location: Oakmont Senior Community
Hours: 32 hours a week / 06:00 am - 2:00 pm / Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and 1 weekend a month.
Essential Job Duties (in order of priority):
50% Dining/Meals
Serve meals to residents, guest, and family members providing exceptional service. Greet and seat guest as a Host/Hostess and help with service as needed Greeting tables, taking orders and entering them into the POS system, delivery and preparation of beverages, salads, entrees, and desserts, processing of payment Ensure proper preparation and set up for meal service Clean and sanitize areas when meals are finished. Reset tables appropriately.
20% Housekeeping
Provide light housekeeping – dusting, vacuuming, floor care in common areas, as assigned. Ensure all common areas are presentable and inviting, free of any safety hazards or obstacles.
20% Life Enrichment
Organize and facilitate group activities with residents, based on resident preferences Create opportunities for residents to host events and help to ensure they have the items and space needed to accommodate the events Work with outside groups to coordinate events/groups or entertainment for residents and the wider community
10% Customer Service/Hospitality
Greet people and create a warm and welcoming feeling when they come to the building. Help to organize any catering or events that a resident, group or staff may want to have Assist in providing information about the building Represent the community positively in the wider community.
Education: High School Education
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to learn new skillset Ability to learn and willingness to cook, serve, clean, provide activities to residents Ability to relate well to others and communicate effectively to a variety of people.
