The Senior Resource Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Community Reentry Center (CRC) and supervising Resource Specialists, the Safety and Security Specialists, and the Program Assistant. In addition to fulfilling the essential duties of a Resource Specialist, this role includes leadership responsibilities such as staff supervision, training, quality assurance, conflict resolution, and resource coordination to maintain high standards of service and security within the CRC.
This position requires advanced knowledge of reentry services, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to upholding CRC’s safety and security protocols. The Senior Resource Specialist will also ensure effective coordination of schedules with contracted partners to optimize space and service delivery.

- Supervision and Staff Development
- a. Provide direct supervision, support, and mentorship to Resource Specialists (3.0 FTE), Safety and Security Specialists (1.5 FTE), and Program Assistant (0.5 FTE) to ensure adherence to best practices in reentry services.
- b. Conduct regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and professional development planning for supervised staff.
- c. Lead staff meetings.
- Quality Assurance and Program Oversight
- a. Ensure consistent and high-quality service plans for participants by reviewing assessments and referrals.
- b. Oversee program compliance with established policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Conflict Resolution and Escalation Management
- a. Coordinate with CRC team in addressing escalated issues, including participant safety concerns, conflicts, and crisis situations.
- b. Support Resource Specialists in de-escalation strategies and conflict resolution to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Resource Coordination and Service Monitoring
- a. Oversee the coordination of resources provided by contracted partners, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness of services.
- b. Monitor and develop individualized service plans to track participant progress.
- c. Ensure adequate scheduling and space utilization for contracted service providers.
- Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities
- a. Review documentation and reports submitted by Resource Specialists to ensure accuracy and compliance with agency standards.
- b. Compile and analyze data on service delivery outcomes, providing insights for program evaluation and improvement.
- c. Represent the CRC in inter-agency meetings and community outreach efforts as directed by the Area Supervisor.
- Participant Engagement and Support
- a. Conduct screening and assessment of participants to determine needs and connect them with appropriate reentry resources.
- b. Provide direct support and case management as needed to facilitate successful reintegration.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-functioning team.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to assess participant needs and coordinate appropriate resources.
- Strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills, particularly when working with justice-involved populations.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in routine and emergency situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience in social services, reentry services, or working with justice-involved populations.
- At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and support team members in a high-demand environment.
