Description
The Supportive Housing Services (SHS) Program Manager will ensure that the SHS program location is running effectively, acting as on-site supervisor, working closely as part of a team. This person is responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling staff to provide 24/7 coverage at the facility. This position ensures that building maintenance is sustained in a safe and sanitary manner; keeping fire and/or security systems in proper working order. This position requires good organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work efficiently and effectively with limited on-site supervision.
Includes $500.00 Sign On Bonus paid out over the course of 1 year!
Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Work on-site and maintain an office at the SHS location.
- Interview and select program staff in coordination with HR. Schedule staff for 24/7 coverage of the facility. Take on-call rotation.
- Provide in-person training/orientation to all direct serviced staff in addition to evaluating service staff on a quarterly basis. Provide staff supervision responsibilities.
- Conduct SHS intakes where the rules of the house are reviewed and any additional information is provided to the client.
- Provide program updates and policy revisions as needed.
- Oversee referrals, record keeping, mandatory reporting requirements, confidentiality rules, and regulations as they apply to the specific population.
- Hold regular staff meetings to discuss the program, evidence-based practices, and the progress of the individual clients.
- Weekly grocery shopping for the facility to provide nutritious meals for clients. Develop a weekly and monthly menu in coordination with Agency nutrition manual. Assist clients with cooking and preparing nutritious meals as part of independent living skills training.
Job Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or Business AND a minimum of one year of experience providing supervision of direct service staff in a secure setting or human service program.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with correctional clients including training in trauma-informed care, diversity, and motivational interviewing.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
