About the Role
The Contracts Specialist will play a key role in communicating with and managing customers to review, modify, and execute contract updates, ensuring alignment with our new data vendor’s terms. This temporary, part-time role will focus on contract amendments, customer communications, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition. The position is expected to last through the completion of the implementation project (end of year with option to extend into next year, July 2026)

About the Role
The Contracts Specialist will play a key role in communicating with and managing customers to review, modify, and execute contract updates, ensuring alignment with our new data vendor’s terms. This temporary, part-time role will focus on contract amendments, customer communications, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition. What you will do:
- Review and update existing customer contracts to reflect new data vendor terms.
- Draft and execute contract amendments in coordination with the contracts team.
- Serve as the frontline, customer-facing specialist, responding to inquiries with urgency, resolving issues proactively, executing necessary contract changes and approvals, and escalating more complex scenarios to the appropriate team.
- Identify appropriate account signer for amendments. Develop and execute a plan to drive urgency on contract signatures.
- Work diligently and with urgency to meet project deadlines, ensuring contract updates are completed within established timelines.
- Maintain strong project management oversight within the contract scope, tracking progress and proactively addressing any delays.
- Generate regular contract update reports for internal stakeholders, including tracking contract modifications, approvals, and outstanding updates.
- Provide consistent and structured updates to the project manager lead, ensuring alignment with overall implementation milestones.
- Work closely with internal teams, including legal, sales engineering, and account management, to ensure a seamless contract transition.
- Maintain accurate records of contract modifications and approvals in the contract management system and CRM.
- Identify potential risks or inconsistencies in contract language and escalate as needed.
- Support ad-hoc contract-related tasks as required to facilitate the implementation project.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Paralegal Certificate preferred
- 3 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, or a related legal role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Customer facing experience
- Familiarity with data licensing agreements or SaaS contracts is a plus.
- Knowledge and ability in contract negotiation
- Demonstrates proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with salesforce is a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Familiar with contracts and ability to review basic terms
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Base pay range $30-$40/hour plus performance bonus (Final salary offered may vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience)
