Job Duties
Conducts complex investigations involving health care providers in the Virginia Medicaid Program including allegations of abuse and neglect. Reviews voluminous records, participates and/or assists in search warrants, interviews witnesses and targets of investigations, drafts overpayment schedules, participates and/or assists in undercover operations. Applicant who is currently or was recently a sworn law enforcement officer in Virginia will have an opportunity to retain sworn law enforcement status in this position. Some overnight travel required. This position will work out of the Richmond, Virginia office.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates should have demonstrated computer proficiency with word processing and database management
systems (Microsoft products preferred).
Additional Considerations
- Applicants must have a related undergraduate degree or commensurate experience.
- Major course work in the criminal justice or medical administration field, or prior law enforcement experience, is preferred.
