Position Overview:

We currently have opportunities for highly motivated, team players with mechanical aptitude as Precision Assembly Operators on 1st shift, to join our Lowell, MI team. Candidate will be required to rotate to different stations as needed, use various types of assembly and inline testing equipment, maintain a safe and clean work area, keep production records using paper / computers and demonstrate corporate values of Teamwork, Respect, Determination and Passion.

Essential Functions:

• Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available
• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed
• Physical movement of parts up to 50 lbs and use of lift assist for parts over 50 lbs
• Use of torque guns and other calibrated equipment
• Interaction with PLCs to ensure products are built correctly
• Visually inspect production run and document results
• Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
• Participation in departmental improvement projects
• Ability to train others
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• 1-3 year of manufacturing or technical assembly experience.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
• The position will require physical strength, agility, dexterity and standing for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer formal building/technical/mechanical education
• Prefer experience in environments with ISO, Quality Management Systems, Lean Six Sigma and 5s

The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.89, hourly.  The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. 

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
