About the Job:
Project Designer I will plan and design, and/or facilitate the execution of new building designs, building expansions or renovations according to client’s needs, desires, and financial resources.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works independently and collaboratively on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts
- Develops planning and creative-design concepts for projects
- Creates project designs and plans for all phases of projects and coordinates building design consultants while monitoring drawings
- Initiates and creates project designs and plans of all phases of one or more projects and has responsibility for preparing presentation and design drawings
- Serves as secondary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget and with maximum client satisfaction
- Coordinates all project efforts to ensure effective execution, prepares strategic plans, and serves as primary client liaison
- Other duties as assigned
What we are Looking For:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Zero to five years in developing details and providing planning and design support in the preparation of design development
- Proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
- Zero to five years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Occasional construction site visits may occur
