The Mechanical Engineering Intern position will support project teams in our Oil & Gas (Hydrocarbons) market.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior mechanical engineers on pipeline and facility design projects, focusing on layout, mechanical systems, and equipment integration
- Assist in drafting and modifying mechanical drawings and technical documents using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Help prepare engineering reports, material take-offs, cost estimates, and basic technical calculations
- Conduct research on regulatory requirements, codes, and standards related to mechanical systems in oil and gas applications
- Participate in field site visits, gathering data for design validation and as-built updates
- Contribute to the development of construction documents, such as equipment specifications, installation drawings, and permit support packages
- Collaborate with the project team to maintain schedule, quality, and project documentation standards
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Strong interest in oil and gas facility/pipeline design and mechanical systems
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
