Atwood & McCall, PLLC is actively seeking a senior paralegal for our growing Business and M&A practice. Essential Functions:
- Work closely with attorneys on Corporate and M&A transactions.
- Monitor and maintain cases, calendars, and deadlines; oversee tracking of deadlines and time-sensitive tasks.
- Collaborate with the paralegal team to provide overall support in various legal matters.
- Utilize our client management policies and procedures and log your time entries as you perform legal services and administrative activities.
- Bill a required minimum of 1200 hours (billed and collected) each year.
Successful Candidate Will Have:
- 5-8 years of paralegal experience within a law firm (required).
- Paralegal certificate (preferred).
- Experience in forming legal entities and preparing organizational documents.
- Experience in supporting transactional attorneys on M&A transactions, including assembling schedules to transactional documents, coordinating due diligence, and maintaining closing checklists.
- General familiarity with transactional documents, including Asset Purchase Agreements, Stock Purchase Agreements, and the ancillary documents related to such transactions.
- Experience in maintaining attorney calendars and coordinating meetings with clients, referral partners, and attorneys.
- Highly collaborative in nature.
- Healthy sense of humor and calming demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects while problem-solving and prioritizing workflow.
- Strong interpersonal skills to support a cooperative approach and minimize conflict.
- Flexible and able to respond to changing priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Desire to engage in self-improvement and develop your expertise and skills through professional development, CLE, seminars, and workshops.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with legal practice management software (Clio) is a plus.
