Position
The Store Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of store operations to achieve sales goals, grow market share, and deliver an excellent customer experience across both in-store and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and margin to meet and/or exceed prior year and current budgets.
- Manage Shrink via proven methods and processes employed by Atwoods
- Set clear expectations and promote accountability among associates
- Manage with purpose via morning store walks, assigning tasks to all team members and following closing procedures
- Build a high-performing team through hiring, training, feedback, and development.
- Maintain visual merchandising, store appearance, and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor budget, control inventory, minimize losses, and ensure store compliance.
- Create a positive and motivating work environment that supports team growth and succession planning.
- Communicate effectively with district leadership and team members to report on store performance and customer feedback.
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify growth opportunities and improve operations.
- Lead and coach the team in product knowledge, customer service, and operational excellence.
- Manage BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick Up In Store) to ensure a smooth omnichannel experience.
- Develop and execute business plans to meet sales and performance targets.
- Drive sales through online channels, social media, in-store events, and community outreach.

- 2 years of retail experience or a mix of relevant experience and education
- A strong track record of success and eagerness to grow in leadership

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Willing and able to work a flexible 50-hour week, including nights and weekends
- Must meet all federal and local requirements to obtain a Federal Firearms License (FFL)
Physical & Communication Requirements:
- Strong visual acuity, including close vision for computer work
- Able to lift, push, and pull: At least 30 lbs repeatedly, 31–50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to climb ladders and use pallet jacks safely
- Frequent use of a keyboard with repetitive wrist movements
- Capable of walking up and down stairs multiple times daily
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally, both in person and via handheld devices
