We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our finance team at a leading manufacturer in conductor systems. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial record-keeping, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounts Payable / Receivable : Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely posting of invoices and payments.
Data Entry : Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system, including purchase orders, sales invoices, and receipts.
Reconciliation : Assist in monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring that financial records are accurate and complete.
Inventory Accounting : Work closely with the inventory team to track raw materials, finished goods, and other assets, ensuring proper recording of costs and adjustments.
Payroll Support : Assist with the preparation of payroll by providing necessary data and ensuring proper documentation for employee wages, overtime, and deductions.
Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
Tax Compliance : Support the preparation and filing of sales tax, VAT, or other relevant tax filings, as required.
Documentation : Maintain organized and accessible accounting records, including invoices, receipts, contracts, and other supporting documents.
Vendor Communication : Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.
Audit Support : Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems).
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with manufacturing cost accounting or inventory management.
Knowledge of manufacturing-specific accounting processes (e.G., work in progress, bill of materials).
Previous experience in a fast-paced or multi-departmental environment.
