Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor plays a key leadership role in overseeing and supporting the growing, harvesting, packing, and maintenance operations at thefacility. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, educating personnel on Quality and Food Safety programs, and maintaining adherence to FDA, State Department of Health, National Organic Program, and corporate food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in growing areas.
- Monitor compliance with FDA Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food (GMPs) in harvesting and packing areas.
- Implement and enforce corporate QA food safety programs and policies.
- Lead GFSI, CCOF, and customer audits of farm and packing operations.
- Oversee compliance with the National Organic Program (NOP) certification requirements.
- Supervise the Packing Sanitation team and manage the Environmental Monitoring Program.
Audit & Training Support:
- Lead and participate in product mock recalls/recalls.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for noncompliance issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to GAP, GMP, and food safety protocols.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor QA Technicians, ensuring performance standards are met.
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
- Plan and assign work schedules, track attendance, and evaluate work quality.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:Required:
- 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in a food manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of FSMA regulations and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Food Science, or a related field.
- FSMA PCQI Certified (within the last 5 years).
- HACCP Certification.
- Experience with National Organic Program compliance.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
