Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plastic Extrusion Operator to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining plastic extrusion machines to produce high-quality plastic pipes. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate plastic extrusion machines to produce plastic pipes according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust extrusion equipment, including temperature, pressure, and speed settings.
- Monitor production for quality control, ensuring products meet company and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of extrusion machinery.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure proper documentation.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with supervisors and quality control teams to address production issues.
- Maintain accurate production and machine performance records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Experience in plastic extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Tolerance to high-temperature environments near operating machinery.
