AtWork Personnel is currently working with the Corporate Headquarter office of a well-established, nationally recognized manufacturer of consumer goods products, who is looking for a Purchasing Agent to join their expanding Purchasing Department. Compensation : $55-60K, with excellent benefits, including 401K match
Ideally, we are looking for a Candidate that has experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the purchasing of supplies, materials, equipment and logistical activities across multiple plant locations. Additional responsibilities will include planning, implementing, and maintaining financial information systems and internal controls, as related to the purchasing function.
Responsibilities :
- Authorizes purchase orders for raw materials, packing materials, and OEM products. I dentifies available sources, determines procurement methods, selects supplies and directs issuance of purchase orders for multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Analyzes material usage and costs. Implements procurement strategies to maximize efficiency and cost optimization involving packaging materials, raw materials and other items.
- Provides direction and guidance for planners r egarding approved suppliers, quantities lead times, and pricing of assigned materials to meet production plans.
- Source quality suppliers and negotiate price. Communicate with suppliers about order processing as required to resolve issues and receive order acknowledgements.
- Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies. Submit accurate and timely submission of invoices for payment.
- Work with management to ensure that incoming materials meet QA quality standards.
- Review and validated purchase price variances.
