They ve been in business for the last fifty years Nationwide and internationally.ResponsibilitiesScheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needsReview and respond to emails from both internal and external customersReview and prioritize daily workflow and expected customer and facility needsAccurate and timely communication with customersAdvise the facilities and coordinators of any terminal and / or equipment issues in a timely manner.Proactively request information from the facility level re : forecasting of any upcoming equipment needsVerifying that booking information, BOL information, container availability, vessel receiving and vessel cut-offs are correct prior to dispatching Owner-Operators into the terminalsVerifying that work orders have been input into MacMillan-Piper s proprietary system prior to dispatching Owner-Operators into the terminalsAccepting or declining the facility dispatch request depending upon the validity of the information.Set-up of appointments and Quick Gates with the terminals for import loads where ever required.Ensuring equipment availability prior to dispatching Owner-OperatorsDispatch Owner-Operators to the various terminals, facilities and customer locationsCoordinate delivery appointments with external customersRecord container moves of all Owner-Operators for real time representation of container locations and statusContinuous coordination of container and chassis moves between facilities to ensure that equipment is moved as efficiently as possible.Coordinate Owner-Operator moves in an efficient and timely mannerDaily review and reconciliation of facility yard reportsThe input of the Owner-Operator logs into the MP proprietary systemRecording of all accessorial charges, including terminal standby, incurred by all Owner-OperatorsTracking container free time to eliminate and minimize any per diem detention charges incurredRequirementsExcellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any conditionAbility to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same timeYou should be proficient with computer technology, learn company-specific programs, and access GPS monitoring programs.Ability to relay information and problem-solve in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to pass drug testing and Background Checking
