Certification Details BLS ACLS NRP Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Job Details The Registered Nurse (RN) monitors, assesses, and evaluates patient conditions, providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Key responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal health, assisting with labor management, offering patient education, supporting the delivery process, and providing postpartum care. The RN works closely with the healthcare team, including OB residents and attendings to ensure patient safety, documents care accurately, and responds to emergencies as needed. L&D RNs must be adaptable to different facility settings, policies, and shifts while maintaining high clinical standards. Job Requirements At least two years of experience of high risk Labor and Delivery nursing RN licensure for the State of Georgia or multi-state compact license. Schedule Information 12 hour shifts, 0700-1930 and 1900-0730 No call required Weekends are required Unit Specific Information Completion of a three day preceptor based Labor and Delivery specific orientation.
