Program Description: Employment Institute
The Employment Institute, Auberle’s nationally recognized workforce development program, places unemployed and underemployed individuals in career jobs, not just training. Our passionate, mission-driven team supports individuals in overcoming any barrier to employment impacting our participants, their families, and future generations. Because of our holistic model, 84% of our participants remain in their employment for six months or more, a long-term indicator of success in the workplace.
Position Title and Overview: Employment Institute Deputy Director
- Implement program expansions: explore and develop new opportunities for the Employment Institute and work with the Director of the Employment Institute to implement new initiatives.
- Lead and empower the Employment Institute team: Motivate the team with positive reinforcement and help them develop their skills and abilities to create innovative solutions for young people to succeed at getting and keeping careers.
- Empower staff: Challenge and support Employment Institute staff to create innovative solutions.
- Administer the department: Work with the Director of the Employment Institute to manage the budget and create departmental policies and procedures as needed.
- Establish and sustain internal and external relationships: Use strong communication skills to establish and manage relationships both inside and outside of the agency, recruiting and working with businesses and other agencies.
- Set and oversee goals: Assist in the development, oversight, achievement and reporting of program goals.
Location and Travel Requirements:
This position is primarily located in McKeesport. All positions are also expected to come to training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled. The travel required for this position is frequent.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but related experience accepted
- Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Flexibility to work evenings for weekends

Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
