At Auberle we are committed to helping families and individuals achieve stability and self-sufficiency through our housing programs. We are seeking an experienced Housing Case Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive case management services to our participants. The Housing Case Manager will be responsible for providing supportive case management to participants experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis. Case Managers will meet participants where they are at, including travel throughout Allegheny County. The ideal candidate will have experience working with low-income families and individuals, as well as knowledge of affordable housing programs and resources. The Case Manager will be responsible for conducting intake interviews, assessing participant needs, developing service plans, and providing on-going case management and support services. The goal of this position is to help our clients obtain and maintain stable housing.
Key Objectives:
- Ability to complete billing reports and quality control
- Acts as landlords primary liaison to the program, access landlord networks, understand landlord perspectives, market the program, and negotiate leases on behalf of the participants, building lasting landlord relationships.
- Assist participants with transportation to view housing options, complete housing applications, and needs related to maintaining stability.
- Assist participants to access community-based resources by making and coordinating referrals for all housing, aftercare, medical, and other needed supplementary health and human services.
- Meet weekly and/or as needed with Program Supervisor for supervision to discuss program development and implementation of policies and procedures applicable to the provision of services, staff development and participants progress.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree preferred with at least one year of case management experience and/or equivalent skills & experience working within a housing or shelter program.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Required flexible hours, including evening and weekends
- A valid drivers license and proof of insurance are mandatory
- Must be able to obtain Act 33/34 clearances (criminal and child abuse) as well as FBI clearance pre-employment
- Preferred background in doing roommate and family matches in securing housing
- Experience working with displaced, underserved, and vulnerable populations.
- Experience working with HUD, Homeless Advisory Board and HMIS strongly preferred
