What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control/Customer Service Representative position at Auburn Concrete?
Come work for the largest Ready-mix company in the state, a proven leader in Ready Mix Concrete. Auburn Concrete currently has a position open as a Quality Control/Customer Service Representative in our Southern Region (Wesbrook 1 & 2, Biddeford). Auburn Concrete has just celebrated 26 years in business as a family owned company. We currently have 9 Ready Mix locations in the state with a quarry to provide us with aggregate material and we continue to grow.
The Quality Control/Customer Service Representative position will require a significant amount of quality control responsibilities, about 75 percent of the position is dedicated to quality control. This position is also responsible for providing exceptional service and consistent product quality to our customers. Other duties include:
- Assist with production and timely loading and shipment of concrete
- Daily/weekly QC test of raw materials and concrete
- Provide site service/delivery coordination to ensure smooth flow of trucks both to and from the site
- Occasionally batch/oversee night deliveries
- Fill the plant with aggregates if so assigned
- Prepare batch plant for annual MDOT Production Facility Certification
- Prepare facility and be available to attend MCTCB certification testing
- Provide assistance to other Auburn Concrete plants/projects as requested
This position requires long hours (up to 65 hours per week) and Saturday availability during the busy season (May to October).
Who we are looking for:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a concrete production facility or other related construction activity
- Must have current American Concrete Institute Grade 1 Field Certification
- Must have Maine Concrete Testing Certification Board, PCT Certification or equivalent
- Current/valid Maine driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
- Command/Akon (Integra) & Marcotte systems knowledge is a plus
- Loader/equipment experience or willingness to develop skills is a plus
