Job Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Infant Teacher that will primarily support the lead teacher in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our infants, focusing on their basic needs like feeding, diapering, soothing, and assisting with developmental activities while closely monitoring their well-being, all while adhering to Auburn Day Care Centers, Inc guidelines.
Key duties:
Direct Child Care:
Assist with feeding infants, including preparing bottles and feeding routines.
Perform diaper changing and hygiene practices.
Provide comfort and soothing techniques to infants as needed.
Supervise infants during playtime, ensuring their safety and engagement.
Implement age-appropriate developmental activities like tummy time, reaching exercises, and sensory play.
Observation and Documentation:
Regularly observe infant behavior and developmental milestones.
Document observations and progress in required program.
Communicate any concerns regarding infant development to the lead teacher.
Classroom Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and sanitized classroom environment, following hygiene protocols.
Prepare and organize materials for infant activities.
Assist with the upkeep of infant supplies and equipment.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with the lead teacher to implement the Teaching Strategies for infants.
Follow all Auburn Day Care policies and procedures related to child safety and care.
Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.87 - $13.79 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
