Job Overview
As a First-Class Pre-K Auxiliary Teacher at Auburn Daycare Center you’ll support the lead teacher in a Pre-K classroom, assisting with instruction, classroom management, and student activities, while reinforcing skills and providing individual or small group support.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Support:
Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce skills and address learning needs.
Prepare and organize learning materials and activities.
Assist with student testing and evaluation.
Classroom Management
Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities.
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Assist with classroom routines, such as snack time, transitions, and clean-up.
Communication and Collaboration
Communicate observations and concerns about students to the lead teacher.
Participate in parent involvement activities.
Attend professional development activities related to First Class Pre-K.
Other Duties
Assist with clerical tasks, such as checking notebooks or correcting papers.
Prepare and maintain classroom displays and bulletin boards.
Set up and store audio-visual equipment.
Participate in activities that develop positive interactions in the instructional process.
AUXILIARY TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS
An auxiliary teacher must meet all the following minimum requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Must have 9 hours of Early Childhood Education College Coursework; or a
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential through Council of Professional Recognition; or an Early Childhood Education associate degree; or associate degree Child Development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.25 - $16.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
