Food Service Worker Duties & Responsibilities
The Food Service Worker is responsible for food preparation and service. He/she cleans and operates kitchen to meet Lee County Health Department regulations. The work of this position is under the supervision of the Head Cook. It is important to ensure that the standard and quality of the food production and the hygiene within the department is always maintained at the highest level. This role is very much hands-on, requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
Main Tasks
1. Prepares and serves food in proper amounts to meet CCFP requirements for children and staff in attendance.
2. Cleans Kitchen, equipment, and supplies properly.
3. Complete forms relating to meal service, promptly, and accurately and submit them to Food Service Manager.
4. Prepares accurate food order forms weekly to Food Service Manager and receives and stores groceries properly.
5. Keeps inventory accurate of available food items, utensils, and serving containers.
6. Rotates foods in freezers, refrigerators, and storage to assure that freshness is maintained, and timely use of food is scheduled. Food already in stock are moved forward as new items are added.
7. Maintains daily record, check production composed, maintained CACFP Eligibility Forms
Assist the day-to-day running of the department.
Carry out other tasks as required by Auburn Day Care Centers, Inc.
