Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in catering and a strong background in kitchen management. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. Your creativity and leadership will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties

  • Plan and create innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
  • Manage inventory effectively, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.
  • Coordinate banquet services and special events, collaborating with front-of-house staff and volunteers to deliver seamless dining experiences.
  • Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen equipment usage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.

Skills

  • Proven experience in catering establishments with a strong portfolio of culinary creations.
  • Excellent kitchen management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong inventory management capabilities to optimize food costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Knowledge of food service management practices to ensure smooth operations within the kitchen.
  • Ability to supervise staff effectively, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Experience in banquet preparation and execution for large events.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and food production methods.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.60 - $23.62 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
