What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant position at Auburn Neurology & Sleep Associates P.C.?
About the Job:
- Work remotely Monday - Thursday (9:30 am - 4 pm) and every other Friday (9:30am - 1pm)
- Enter the office on Monday for 1-2 hours to print off and mail paperwork for patients.

Responsibilities:
- Charting
- Prior Authorizations
- Insurance Verification
- Ability to work well with a team
- Check-in and Check-out patients
- Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining relevant medical history and vitals
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up testing
- Answer the phone and follow-up appropriately
- Performs clerical duties such as addressing faxes, preparing basic documents, typing, etc.
Work Experience/Skills:
- 2 years of experience required
- At least 2 years of past experience in a specialty medical office
- Knowledge of electronic health/medical records, ATHENA and EPIC
Required Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certificate
Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 /hour depending on experience
